So you think you can dance

This was right before Morgan actually crawled.  It seemed like she thought the head nodding would make her actually crawl.

Kaia watching over Mo

Kaia is a great watch dog for Mo. She is always looking out for Mo especially when it is time for diaper changes (which baby hates lately). We have been trying to get Mo to sleep in her crib lately and Kaia is very concerned when she hears the baby cry. Here are some fun pix taken in the last few months of the two of them hangin' out. The first one was when Ryan told Kaia to bite Morgan's left arm off so she wouldn't be left-handed.

A filthy cougar snuck into my house.

I can't believe mom and dad let this trash into my house. We thought we were doing the church a favor by letting the missionaries come to dinner and we ended up with a BYU football player at our table. Good thing he had a red tie.

Good Weather

I took mom and dad to a soccer tournament. One day I will play like those big girls. Just like mom.

Big girl.

Soooo Big. I am so proud of myself.

Peek-a-boo!

I'm going to try and post this longer video. We are having so much fun with Morgan's fun personality and laugh. She is hilarious. You would think Ryan's yelling might scare her, but she loves it.

More Morgan

Sweet potatoes sure are tasty! This was after her excited hands connected with a spoonful o' food.

Showing off her cute Valentine's shirt and crazy curl.

Our Philadelphia girl loves having her diaper changed. She often plays with this sticker and scratches the wall. It sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard.
Notice those 'healthy' legs?

This beauty parlor shot was on Mo's 6-month birthday. Instead of blowing out a candle she blew out her diaper and dirtied her cupcake shirt before her curled hair was ready for any real pictures.

Morgan enjoys looking at her pretty face in the mirror. This was the first time we let her play around with a handheld mirror. The slobber on the mirror is from the kisses she gave herself.

Our little cutie. We caught her leaning on her hand, just chillin'.

Ecstatic I'm sitting on my own and have my Daddy with me!

It's the audio that makes these worth posting...enjoy!

Laughing with the laundry on my 6-month birthday...

Roch's Birthday

Today is Rochelle's (Ali's oldest sister) 39th Birthday! I remember having lunch at Mom's for Rochelle's birthday last year and somehow the infamous cinnamon story came up. For those that haven't heard the cinnamon story, it's a fond memory of Ali and Rochelle getting into a tiff (sp?) over where the cinnamon was at Mom & Dad's house and basically blowing everything out of proportion. I remember saying that I'd share a more positive memory another time. Well, now's the time.

Roch (or Roach as Ryan likes to spell it), is a great sister and friend. She is the perfect oldest sibling and has always set a very high standard for the rest of us to try and follow. She is very intelligent, dedicated, and responsible. I don't know where she finds the time to keep her house in order, her four kids in order and in all their activities and schooling, her hair and clothes always done and cute, exercise at 5 in the morning, her church duties attended to above and beyond, read the newspaper cover to cover, and still have time to go on dates, play, and participate in singing and book groups!

She can talk intelligently about many a current event whether it be local, national, or international, sports, politics, or recipes...she knows it all. She's also the master researcher. Before buying anything or going on a trip, she has read up on it and remembers it all...Consumer Reports, travel guides, library books, magazines, she's got a handle on them all.

She's fun to tease, laugh with, and talk to. We always spend more time than expected (in a good way though) when we're at her house or I'm on the phone with her because it always seems like there's more to discuss. She's truly interested in our lives and our well-being and remembers everything about you. She's also in to trying new things and adventures.

She fantasizes about being German, being the lead in a Broadway play or just a church musical, and playing football at the college or professional level. On top of that, she can do a pretty mean running man (a dance move)...Okay, Kim can too. While I don't have footage of her doing the running man, here is a clip of her dancing AND being German (and my first attempt at posting video on the blog) from her November 2007 visit to Philly.

Rochelle, thanks for being our older sister. We love you and look up to you very much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Disclaimer on the previous post...

Now that the post is "published", I can see that not all the captions are showing up correctly with the pictures. They weren't that way when I composed and previewed the post. I admit to being an amateur at this blogging stuff and don't want to delay this update any longer. I think you're smart enough to figure out which photo goes where and nice enough to forgive me that it's not perfect. :) - Ali
