Morning Story

Miss Independent chose her own clothes today. A Philadelphia University Rams sweatshirt (in honor of Daddy) and a denim skirt (in honor of Tayli).

Even though it was hot outside, Mom said it was okay. She only nixed the blue snowman socks (shown in hand).

Within the hour, Miss Independent decided she didn't sleep in long enough and could use a morning nap.

Since Miss Independent had done so well lately at sleeping through the night in her crib (usually for 12 hours straight) Mom thought M.I. would be ready to try a nap in the crib.

Miss Independent did not like it. Miss Independent got mad. Miss Independent became Miss Angry. Miss Angry became fierce like a tiger.

After letting the tiger roar and bang stuff around for a while, Mom decided to investigate. Mom could hear the nearby lamp post being jiggled, but could not figure out the other sounds. The banging on the crib rail was too loud for just a binky.

The red-faced Miss Independent Angry Tiger had made a mess of her hair and pulled the changing table cushion (from the semi-close dresser) right into the crib with her.

Miss Independent Angry Tiger was tired....tired of being Miss Independent, tired of her lonely crib, and ready to go back to being Miss Dependent.

:)
I love this girl.

Great story Alison! Do you suppose the Miss Independent has to do with her being born in Philadelphia with the historical emphasis on independence?

We love you ALL!
